🎯 What's Working

• Hot lure: the green & yellow Gibbs Skinny G spoon (green back, chartreuse belly) — doing most of the damage all trip.
• Sail Rock: kings and coho riding 47–80 ft down.
• Sail Rock tides: Day 3 fished the late-day ebb, Day 4 the morning flood — the flood fished a little better.
• Outside Little Beach: fish are deep — 80–100 ft down · a few also came on the "Monkey Pickles" SpinFish (chartreuse rotating bait-fish imitation, pink tail — bait loads in the chamber).
• Big kings in close: Day 5's two monsters came tight to the beach by the lighthouse — don't run past them.
• Lighthouse–Little Beach timing: the ~8 AM window near slack tide keeps producing kings (Day 10: king on right at slack, another lost at the boat) — same window that BC sportfisher had his best bite. And the evening return to Little Beach paid off with a monster.
• Word from another boat (BC sportfisher, mid-Aug): lings on paddle-tail swimbaits off a spreader bar (doesn't have to be deep) · a 102 cm hali outside Great Bear in 145 ft on a scented grub · his best salmon bite was 8–9:30 AM off Little Beach at 101–111 ft · coho on the bottom in 150 ft in Newcombe Channel · guides fishing salmon inshore, then jumping to Long Beach Bank for halibut.
