- Bigg's (transient) orcas — year-round, most common now
- Southern Resident orcas — May–September
- Humpbacks — summer into fall (rebounding fast)
- Minke whales, Dall's & harbor porpoise too
🇨🇦Ucluelet / West Coast VI
- Gray whales — migration Feb–late May; ~200 residents feed all season
- Humpbacks — best June–September
- Orcas — year-round but sightings less frequent
- Barkley & Clayoquot Sound are the grounds
